As discussed in our previous video interview with the game director and creative director, the Uncharted 4 team is planning on opening up the gameplay options a bit by providing multiple paths and ways to take out Nathan Drake's enemies. We spoke with co-lead designer Ricky Cambier to discuss how Drake is using his new rope/grapple tool and more to embrace the team's more sandbox-centric approach to Uncharted 4's gameplay.
Gameplay Uncharted 4 !
No Uncharted game would be complete without things to collect, and A Thief's End is no exception. There are four types of "collectible" in the game, and gathering them earns you points to spend on character skins, cheats, concept art, and some fun visual and gameplay modification tweaks.
Those questions inspired ideas for characters, locations and gameplay elements. The story designers scribbled the plot points on index cards arranged on a cork board. The idea was to have a foundation, but one that commanded less attachment than a hulking script book, Druckmann said.
In a treat for fans of Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, Naughty Dog let gamers feast their eyes on the spectacular E3 2015 gameplay demo for the developer's upcoming action-adventure epic yesterday via Twitch. The footage contained boatloads of breakneck action, including shoot-outs, chase scenes, and (of course) witty banter between Nathan Drake and his co-horts. In fact, Naughty Dog's team took time out of their busy schedules after screening the video in order to answer questions from the community involving Nathan Drake's last adventure, and to flesh out what gamers can expect as far as technical aspects and gameplay mechanics.
Although it takes a little time for the action to build, once the fracas breaks out, the gameplay starts to move at a quick clip. As expected, the intense battles that Uncharted 4 has become known for have remained intact and definitely look fulfilling on all levels. Plus, as Naughty Dog has previously displayed, the graphics are gorgeous, including a panoply of realistic shades, tones, and colors.
On top of the single player gameplay, we get a look at the new multiplater update debuting today for Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, named the Classic Throwback DLC and including two new weapons, three new Survival boosters, over 60 new character skins and accessories, thirteen new taunts, and more. Classic Mode also becomes a permanent gametype and a new mode is added for ranked play: King of the Hill.
This year's PlayStation Experience kicked off with a first look at gameplay for Uncharted 4: A Thief's End. Nathan Drake's latest adventure showed off more of the shooting, exploration, and stunning environments that the Uncharted series has become recognized for.

Climbing remains a staple gameplay feature, now more detailed in terms of animation, with greater emphasis on versatility to the playable areas than ever before. Drake can now drive a piton into craggy rock faces in order to climb terrain, mainly to bridge gaps between handholds in the surface. As well as this, Drake is equipped with a collapsible grappling hook, allowing him to swing to new areas and avoid enemy fire, or allow him to close gaps and attack enemies. It can also be used to rappel down rock faces.
In April 2016, another gameplay trailer showed several new gameplay features, such as the Jeep's winch functionality, the additional uses of the grapple hook, and tagging enemies for combat. AI teammates were also shown to be much more capable during stealth, being able to take down enemies silently before they spot the player.[11]
The story is what people come for, but the gameplay is what gets people hooked. Uncharted 4 is another entry in Sony's long line of impressive third-person action-adventure games. Even though it came out in 2016, the game takes full advantage of the PlayStation 4's hardware and showcases beautiful graphics and cinematics on par with live-action movies. Not only are the environments highly detailed, they are also much bigger and perfectly showcase the improved stealth, platforming and cover shooting mechanics. These are all things that developer Naughty Dog would improve upon even more in The Last of Us Part II.
All of these elements combine to make Uncharted 4 not only the best in the series, but also PlayStation's best overall game. An emotional story that concludes Nathan Drake's journey while still giving him a satisfying ending, and breathtaking action and gameplay that still holds up after all these years. Even if you've never played any of the previous entries, Uncharted 4 is everything that a great first-party PlayStation game has to offer.
Uncharted 4 A Thief's End is the next installment of the hugely popular series of action-adventure games, in which we follow adventurer Nathan Drake. His brother Sam also plays a significant role in the game, appearing in many stages and cut-scenes. The gameplay mechanics have not changed much compared to previous parts of the series, although there are certain moments where we have more freedom. Sometimes we also have to make decisions that affect the further course of the campaign (their consequences are discussed in the guide, of course).
Our Uncharted 4 walkthrough describes all 24 chapters. There are 22 main chapters, a prologue, and an epilogue. The story is linear and there aren't any important decisions to make during the gameplay. Moreover, there is only one, universal ending, which takes place after finishing the epilogue.
He asks, "Where the hell are you?" It's not clear who he's looking for, but the end of the video gives us a good idea. It transitions into gameplay, and he enters a dark cave behind him and flips on the flashlight. He climbs past waterfalls and slippery rocks. He exits the cave and comes out into a stunning cave covered in moss and foliage. Drake mentions "pirate treasure," and checks his journal.
This 20 minutes gameplay explores the semi open-world of Madagascar and features the newly added drivable vehicles, new stealth mechanics and actions. The game Uncharted 4 will be expected to launch this May 2016 on Playstation 4.
Uncharted is easily one of the most captivating video game franchises out there. Each installment tells an exciting adventure story that feels like Indiana Jones for a new generation. You play as Nathan Drake, a swashbuckling hero whose knowledge of history and knack for puzzle-solving makes him such an intriguing hero. Each game is truly a cinematic experience, with a story that not only makes you invested in the characters but in the gameplay as well.
The game is a prequel to the first Uncharted game, yet Nathan Drake remains the same likable hero. Where the game suffers is its desire to promote the new aspects of the Vita. For example, the touch screen becomes an integral part of the gameplay. While it does add to some aspects such as climbing and puzzle-solving, the swipe-based fights can often be annoying and take away from the intensity of certain moments. Golden Abyss is still a fun experience, but it suffers from being a promotional tool for a mobile console that is, unfortunately, more outdated than the artifacts that Nate looks for.
The standout here is the many action set pieces, with the highlight being one on a moving train that eventually goes over a cliff. The game is filled with constant high-stake situations, allowing you to not only be invested in the story, but in the actual gameplay. You want to get to the top of the train before it falls just as much as Drake does. Yes, there are certain mechanics that were perfected as the series went on, but similar to what Batman: Arkham City did for superhero games, Among Thieves perfected what a cinematic video game experience should be.
The Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection finally realizes that 60FPS Uncharted 4 trailer we saw back in E3 2014 and goes above and beyond that with an even smoother gameplay mode and PS5-enhanced features. 2ff7e9595c
